29 Cool tech

There is so much cool technology out there in the world now! To be honest, I am normally a technology hater. But there is a lot more to technology than the consumer side that we normally think of, and that is the part that I am looking at a lot more. 

Over the past few years there has been real and incredible work done with gene editing and medical technology. This is somewhat scary, but I believe too many people take it too far. Because what this really means, is that we are actually on the edge of being able to create the cure to so many of the diseases humans have struggled with. Communication technology has come so far. In the era that I am writing this, the human ability to communicate has never been stronger. I have the capacity to talk to friends who are currently on the opposite side of the planet. Transportation that once took weeks, or even years can now be done in mere hours. How amazingly incredible is that?! We see news and happenings of the world while existing and living on the other side of the planet.  

I hope that this trend will continue. 100 years ago, people were writing about how heavier than air flying machines were impossible, and then we proceeded to put people on the moon. Which speaking of those moon missions, we did so with less computer power than your smartphone. The science and technology we have today, are the fiction of yesterday, so imagine what humanity will do tomorrow.
