30 Christ promised

God has promised many things. Possibly most famously that he would never flood the world again, and the sign of this would be the rainbow. There are many things that the Lord promised, but something that he has guaranteed time and time again is that you will know peace through all things. In John 16:33 it says “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” We have been taught and shown many things, one of the biggest is that through all circumstances, through all periods of life, the Lord is there offering us peace. 

The world has been overcome. 

There is nothing, not the gates of hell, not human empires, nor man nor women, nor angels or demons that can come between you and the love that God has given unto you openly and freely.  Yet here you are, letting the words of people who don’t matter impact who you are? Why do you let a few pixels on the screen decide how your day is going? The most powerful forces of hell tremble at the mere name of God, and yet you worry that God won’t show up, that somehow you are the exception to his love, that the lies the world has given you are the ones that cannot be changed? Take heart, do not let fear drown out what you have been promised.
